Adrian Biddle

Adrian Biddle (born July 20, 1952 in London , † December 7, 2005 in London ) was a British cameraman.

Career

Biddle began his career as an assistant to the underwater cameraman Egil Woxholt in films such as On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969) and Captain Nemo and the Underwater City (1970). In the early 1970s he moved to Ridley Scott Associates and worked for feature films and commercials.

From 1980 he became chief cameraman and in this role he made over 100 commercials. In 1979, he assisted his boss Ridley Scott and his cameraman Derek Vanlint behind the camera for the science fiction film Alien . Finally, in 1986, Adrian Biddle worked for the first time in a feature film: Aliens: The Return of James Cameron . Since then, Adrian Biddle has participated in many successful productions and has received multiple awards for his work. Among other things, he was nominated for an Oscar in 1992 for his work at Thelma & Louise . In 1998 he received an award at the European Film Awards .

Adrian Biddle died of a heart attack in late 2005 at the age of 53 .
