James McTeigue

James McTeigue (born December 29, 1967 ) is an Australian film director .

Life

James McTeigue began his career as an assistant director, including on the Matrix trilogy, before making his directorial debut with V for Vendetta in 2005. In 2007 he was involved in the completion of the film Invasion as a director . The actual director ( Oliver Hirschbiegel ) had been dismissed, but McTeigue was not mentioned in the credits for his work. In 2009 he directed his second independent film, Ninja Assassin .

In 2012 he directed the thriller The Raven - Prophet of the Devil, based on motifs by the poet Edgar Allan Poe . In the meantime, in 2014 he made the short film Caserta Palace Dream, produced by the Campanian pasta manufacturer Garofalo , with Richard Dreyfuss , Kasia Smutniak and Valerio Mastandrea in the leading roles.
