Adriana Aparecida dos Santos (born January 18, 1971 in São Bernardo do Campo , São Paulo ) is a former Brazilian basketball player and today's coach.
With the Brazilian national team , Adriana Santos won the gold medal at the 1994 World Championships in Sydney with a 96-87 victory in the final against China . At the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta , she won the silver medal with Brazil and, four years later, the bronze medal at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney. At the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens , Santos narrowly missed a medal with the Brazilian selection by finishing fourth.
Santos also won the South American basketball championship five times with Brazil ( 1991 , 1995 , 1997 , 1999 and 2001 ).
In December 2015, Adriana Santos took over the position of coordinator of the Brazilian women's national team, a position above the coach.
At the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , Santos took the Olympic oath as a coach representative .
