Agata Bronisława Buzek (born September 20, 1976 in Pyskowice ) is a Polish actress.

Life

Agata Buzek is the daughter of the former Polish Prime Minister and President of the European Parliament Jerzy Buzek . In the mid-1980s she fell ill with polio and went to Germany with her family for two years, where she was successfully treated. She completed her acting training at the Akademia Teatralna Warsaw in 1999 and works as a model in Paris besides acting . She made her film debut in 1997. She made her theatrical debut in 1999 at the Teatr Ateneum in Warsaw. She has been married since 2006. In 2007 she took on a role in the episode Fettkiller of the German crime series Tatort . The episode was broadcast on December 30, 2007 on ARD . In 2008 she played Maria in the episode Eine Maria aus Stettin in the German crime series Polizeiruf 110 , which was broadcast on September 21, 2008. For her role in the film Rewers it was at the 2009 Polish Film Festival Gdynia won the Best Actor Award and in 2010 with the Polish Film Awards . At the Berlinale 2010 she was awarded the European Shooting Star as one of ten young actors .
