Agua de Castilla is a country town in the Potosí department in the highlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
Agua de Castilla is the second largest city in the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) Porco in the province of Antonio Quijarro . The settlement lies at an altitude of 4020 m on one of the tributaries to the Río Tumusla and is primarily a mining settlement.

Agua de Castilla is located on the Altiplano in central Bolivia between the Cordillera de Chichas in the southwest and the Cordillera Central in the northeast.
The mean average temperature of the region is around 11 ° C (see Potosí climate diagram), the monthly average temperatures vary between 8 ° C in June / July and a good 13 ° C from November to March.
