Ahmose Pennechbet even Ahmosepennechbet (proper name spelling) and Ahmose-pen-Nechbet (pen-Nechbet = of the goddess Nekhbet Related ) was an Egyptian official at the time of the New Kingdom . His least 58-year career began in the 22nd year of King Ahmose I as infantryman , as the Egyptians after the successful siege of Sharuhen their armies deeper into the coastal area of Levante , Egyptian Djahi were advancing.

Ahmose Pennechbet rose steeply before serving under subsequent kings. The autobiographical inscriptions in his rock tomb in el-Kab provide important information for understanding the 18th dynasty :

“I followed the kings of Upper and Lower Egypt , the gods; I was with Her Majesties when they went to the south and north, in every place they went; (from) King Neb-pechti-Re (Ahmose I), the Blessed , King Djeser-ka-Re ( Amenophis I ), the Blessed, King Aa-cheper-ka-Re ( Thutmose I ), the Blessed, King Aa-cheper-en-Re ( Thutmose II. ), The blessed, up to this good God, King Men-cheper-Re ( Thutmose III. ), To whom eternal life is given. "

- James Henry Breasted : Biography of Ahmose-pen-Nekhbet

Under Ahmose I he was involved in the campaigns in northern Canaan . He followed Amenophis I in the expeditions to Nubia , supported Thutmose I in Naharina and carried out joint ventures with Thutmose II in Sinai . Ahmose Pennechbet has received several awards and titles. He was the treasurer of Hatshepsut and entrusted with the education of their eldest daughter Neferu-Re :

“I have reached a fine age by being with the king in my life ... The consort of God , the great royal consort Maat-ka-Re (Hatshepsut), the blessed, also showed me the favor . I raised her eldest daughter, the king's daughter Neferu-Re , the Blessed, when she was a child who was lying on the breast. "

- James Henry Breasted : Biography of Ahmose-pen-Nekhbet

Ahmose Pennechbet died, according to Toby Wilkinson , at the time of the co-reign of Hatshepsut and Thutmose III. A comparison of the translations of the above quotations suggests a demise after the death of Hatshepsut, since Hatshepsut was not, as in the first quotation of Thutmose III., With the phrase “(to whom) eternal life is given”.
