al-Jifara ( Arabic الجفارة, DMG al-Ǧifāra , often also al-Jfara ) is a municipality located in the northwest of the Libyan Arab Republic . The capital of the municipality is Al-'Azīziyah . The name is derived from the Djeffara coastal plain, the center of which it forms.
