Nalut ( Arabic نالوت, DMG Nālūt ) is a municipality located in the northwest of the Libyan Arab Republic . The capital is the city of the same name, Nalut .

In the entire area of Nalut in 2006 about 93,000 people lived on about 65,000 km². In the west the municipality borders on Tunisia . Inland it borders on the municipalities as follows:
- Munizip an-Nuqat al-Chams in the north
- Munizip al-Jabal al-Gharbi in the east
- Wadi ash-Shati 'municipality in the south
Administrative history
In the entire area of Nalut, 86,801 people (as of 2003) lived on an area of 13,300 km² at that time. In the course of the Libyan territorial reform, the neighboring municipality of Ghadames was incorporated.
