Albano Bortoletto Cavallin
Albano Bortoletto Cavallin (born April 25, 1930 in Lapa , † February 1, 2017 in Londrina ) was a Brazilian clergyman and Roman Catholic Archbishop of Londrina .
Life
Albano Bortoletto Cavallin was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Curitiba on December 6, 1953 .
Pope Paul VI appointed him on June 14, 1973 auxiliary bishop in Curitiba and titular bishop of Aquae Novae in Numidia . The Archbishop of Curitiba, Pedro Antônio Marchetti Fedalto , donated him episcopal ordination on August 28 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Geraldo Fernandes Bijos CMF , Archbishop of Londrina, and Jerônimo Mazzarotto , Auxiliary Bishop in Curitiba. His episcopal motto was "Interpretabatur in Scripturis".
Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Guarapuava on October 24, 1986 . On March 11, 1992, he was named Archbishop of Londrina. On May 10, 2006, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related resignation.
