Albert Danquah Adomah (born December 13, 1987 in London , England ) is a Ghanaian football player who also has a British passport. Adomah is used as the winger and has been under contract with Nottingham Forest since 2019 . He is also a member of the Ghanaian national team .

Life

Childhood and youth

Adomah was born in London to Ghanaian parents, but grew up with his grandmother in Ghana until the age of nine. His way into professional football did not lead through a football school. Instead, he learned the profession of painter and played amateur football in his spare time, initially with Old Meadonians . Former pro David Howell , impressed with Adomah's speed, eventually brought him to Harrow Borough . There he prevailed as a right winger.

Club career

In 2008 he moved to FC Barnet , where he - although he came from a lower league - immediately became a regular. After several clubs were interested in him the following year, he finally moved to Bristol City in 2010 . The fee was set at £ 150,000. Also at Bristol in the Football League Championship he was an immediate regular player.

After Bristol relegated to third-rate Football League One in 2013 , Adomah moved to Middlesbrough FC .

On July 10, 2019, Adomah moved to Nottingham Forest and signed a two-year contract. From January 2020 it was awarded to Cardiff City .

National team

On September 5, 2011, Adomah made his international debut in a friendly against Brazil . Under coach James Kwesi Appiah , he is a regular member of the Ghanaian squad. At the 2013 African Cup of Nations, he wore the number 10.

Adomah is also part of the Ghanaian squad at the 2014 World Cup . Appiah justified the partially criticized nomination with the fact that he otherwise had no real winger in the squad to flank .
