Robert-Nesta Glatzel (born January 8, 1994 in Munich ) is a German soccer player who is under contract with Cardiff City .

Career

Robert Glatzel began playing football at SC Fürstenfeldbruck and later moved to SpVgg Unterhaching . In the senior division, he was used for the first time in the 2011/12 season for the Unterhachinger second team in the fifth-class Bayernliga . In the summer of 2012 he moved to TSV 1860 Munich , where he played in both the A youth team and the second team. Since he was unable to assert himself, however, he moved after a year to the regional league club SV Heimstetten , where he only played for two months. In September 2013 he signed a one-year contract with third division club Wacker Burghausen . He was used in both the first and the second team. In July 2015, he moved from Munich to 1. FC Kaiserslautern and played for their second team in the Regionalliga Südwest . On October 2, 2016 (8th matchday) he made his debut in the first team in a goalless draw in the second division home game against Arminia Bielefeld with a substitute for Osayamen Osawe in the 75th minute. His first second division goal was the 1-0 winner in the home game against the Würzburger Kickers on February 3, 2017 (19th matchday).

For the 2017/18 season Glatzel moved to 1. FC Heidenheim , where he received a contract that ran until June 30, 2020. Here he made his debut on August 5, 2017, the 2nd matchday of the 2017/18 season, in the 0-2 defeat against Eintracht Braunschweig . He scored his first goal for Heidenheim in the 4-0 win against SpVgg Unterhaching in the first main round of the DFB Cup 2017/18 on August 12, 2017. In his second and final season, the attacker scored 17 cross-competition goals - including three in the 4: 5 against FC Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals of the DFB-Pokal 2018/19 - one of the guarantors for the best performance of the season in the Heidenheim club history; In addition to the performance in the cup, the team was fourth in the second division.
