Albert Reusch

Albert Carl Reusch (born November 18, 1816 in Königsberg , Prussia , † July 21, 1892 in Elbing ) was a German high school teacher .

Life

As the son of a pharmacist, Albert Reusch attended the Collegium Fridericianum , from which he graduated in 1836. He enrolled at the Albertus University in Königsberg for law , but switched to philology after one semester . In the sheets of memory (Schmiedeberg) a student portrait watercolor of him has been preserved.

Immediately after the senior teacher testing doctorate he end of 1842. Dr. phil. After traveling in the summer and autumn of 1843, he came to Gumbinnen at Easter 1844 as a teacher representative . Michaelis in 1845 he was transferred to the Thorner Gymnasium . Returned to Gumbinnen as a scientific assistant teacher at Easter 1850 , he was permanently employed at the Friedrichsschule Gumbinnen at Easter 1851 , most recently as the first full teacher . Michaelis in 1854 restored to West Prussia, he received the Elbingischen school the character as a school teacher . Retired on April 1, 1882, he died a good three months later at the age of 76.
