Albert Saritov
Albert Ramazanovici Saritov ( Russian Альберт Рамазанович Саритов / Albert Ramasanowitsch Saritow; born July 8, 1985 in Chassavyurt ) is an originally Russian wrestler of Chechen descent who has competed for Romania since 2016 . He won a bronze medal for Russia at the 2011 World Cup and for Romania at the 2016 Olympic Games .
Career
Albert Saritov, who wrestles only in free style, was a member of the Krasnoyarsk Army Sports Club . He was a member of the army, but was only engaged in wrestling. He has been wrestling since 1997 and his first coach was IM Modosjan. He was later trained by Islam Mariev. At a height of 1.86 meters, he weighs around 90 kg and competed in middleweight championships, the weight class up to 84 kg body weight. No outstanding results are known from his junior years.
In the senior sector he made a lasting appearance for the first time in 2006. This year he won the world cup tournament "Ivan Yarigin" memorial in Krasnoyarsk in welterweight ahead of Sergei Kirilow from Russia and Oleg Beloserkowski from Ukraine and also at the world cap tournament in Sari ( Iran ), where he won ahead of Nika Tlaschadze, Georgia , Asghar Ali Bazrighaleh, Iran and Iván Fundora . In 2007 he won the "Stepan-Sarkisjan" memorial in Tbilisi in the middleweight division and defeated the Olympic champion Adam Saitijew from Russia in the final .
In 2008 he finished 3rd in the Russian Middleweight Championship behind Georgi Georgiev and Ansor Urischew . In 2009 he came in this championship behind Abdussalam Gadissow and in front of Ansor Urischew and Soslan Kzojew on the 2nd place. Despite this good result, he was initially not used in any international championships, but achieved good results in important international tournaments. In 2011 Albert Saritov was the first Russian middleweight champion before Soslan Kzojew, Ansor Urischew and Georgi Rubajew. He was then used at the World Cup that year in Istanbul . There he won victories over Jorlys Ariel Mosquera, Colombia , Yusup Abdusalamow , Tajikistan , Saurbek Sochijew , Uzbekistan and the like. Shinya Matsumoto, Japan . In the semifinals he was then defeated by Sharif Sharifov from Azerbaijan with 0: 2 rounds and 4: 7 points. In the battle for the bronze medal, he won against Cael Sanderson from the United States , the 2004 Olympic champion , on points (2-0, 4-0).
In 2016, Saritov took Romanian citizenship, became a member of Steaua Bucharest and qualified to take part in the Olympic Games in Rio, where he won the bronze medal in the 97 kg class.
