The Highway 8 in the Canadian province of Alberta leads from the west coming to Calgary as a feeder to the city. The highway has a total length of 31 km.

The route begins north of Redwood Meadows , at a roundabout it branches off in an easterly direction on Highway 22 . After 17 km you will reach the city limits of Calgary. Within Calgary, the highway is known as the Glenmore Trail, it is named after the Glenmore Reservoir, a reservoir that serves as a reservoir for drinking water for Calgary and which is also crossed by the highway. In Calgary the route meets Highway 2 , to the east of which Highway 8 ends at the Bow River , it continues in an easterly direction as Alberta Highway 560 , which is also known as a section of the Glenmore Trail.
