After the junction with Highway 37 , the direction of the highway changes, it still runs southeast over the North Saskatchewan River into the city of Fort Saskatchewan . The route leads through the city and turns north-east again. North of the highway is Fort Saskatchewan Industrial Park, which has numerous sidings and the chemical and oil industries.
