The river cruise ship with three passenger decks was built in 1957 in the GDR for the Soviet Union. It belongs to a prepared 1954-1961 series of 49 vessels Rodina class, which in two mutually different series of batch ran. The first series of 11 ships of the Chkalov class and since 1957 the second series of 38 ships of the cosmonaut Gagarin class.
The ship has a diesel-electric drive with three main engines. The ship is used by the company OOO Kruis on the routes Volgograd - Astrakhan - Volgograd, Volgograd - Saratov - Volgograd, Volgograd - Kazan - Volgograd, Volgograd - Moscow - Volgograd, Volgograd - Saratov - Samara - Volgograd and Kamyshin - Saratov - Kamyshin. There is a restaurant for 70 people and a bar for 20 people on the ship.
