Alen Ožbolt (born June 24, 1996 in Novo mesto ) is a Slovenian football player.
Career
society
Ožbolt played in the youth of NK Domžale , before he was pulled up in the 2013/14 season in the squad of the professional team and made his league debut on December 7, 2013 in a 4-1 home win over NK Triglav Kranj , when he made his league debut at the stand of Sasha Aneff was substituted on 4-0 in the 75th minute . He scored his first goal in the opening game of the 2014/15 season in the away game against ND Gorica , where he marked the only goal of the game in the 10th minute. Two more goals against NK Rudar Velenje and NK Radomlje followed until the end of the season.
In January 2015, he was invited to BVB's winter training camp in Belek, Turkey , where he was able to convince in a friendly against Lokomotiv Moscow , scoring the 1-0 winner. For the 2015/16 season , Ožbolt was loaned to the German fourth division club Borussia Dortmund II and made 26 league appearances there. After three games in the 2016/17 season, he returned to NK Domžale.
In January 2018 he switched to the Austrian second division club TSV Hartberg . With Hartberg he was promoted to the Bundesliga in 2018 . His contract was terminated in August 2018.
He then moved to Locomotive Plovdiv in Bulgaria in September 2018 , where he received a contract that ran until June 2021. He made his debut six days later in the 3-1 away win over Septemwri Sofia , where he came on for Bircent Karagaren in the 81st minute . After winning the Bulgarian Cup with Plovdiv in the 2018/19 season, he moved to ŠK Slovan Bratislava in January 2020 .
National team
Alen Ožbolt has previously played for the U-16, U-17 and U-19 national teams of Slovenia . From 2015 to 2018 he was a member of the Slovenian U-21 national team . He played a total of 22 international matches (ten goals) for the U-21 national team and made his debut in the 4-0 friendly win against Andorra when he played in the second half.
