Alex Moroder
Alex Moroder (born May 13, 1923 in Ortisei in Gröden , South Tyrol ; † November 11, 2006 there ; actually Alexander Franz Moroder ; also called Alex Rusina ) was a bank clerk , founding member of several organizations and associations for the preservation of the Ladin language and folklore, Winner of the Tyrolean Merit Medal (awarded in Innsbruck in 1999).
Life
He was the son of the sculptor Ludwig Moroder-Lenert and the Ladin writer Adele Moroder . After September 8, 1943, as he came from a family of Dableibern , he was deported as a military internee first to Pomerania , then to the camp Stalag XVIII A in Wolfsberg , Austria. After the war he married Paula Grossrubatscher-Rusina from Val Gardena. They had five children: Ulrike, Wolfgang, Egon , Ruth and Stephan.
Club activity
Alex Moroder campaigned for the preservation and development of the Ladin language. This took place in the following cultural organizations:
- Union di Ladins de Gherdëina , 1951 to 2006
- Union Generela di Ladins dla Dolomites (umbrella organization of the associations of the Ladin valleys) 1975 to 1987 as secretary
- Administrator of the La Usc di Ladins newspaper, the weekly newspaper of the Dolomites Ladins , from 1974 to 1994
- Radio Ladin de Gherdëina , founded together with Bruno Moroder, 1955 to 1997
- Museum de Gherdëina , founded with Robert Moroder Chairman, Hermann Moroder-Jumbierch, Heinrich Moroder-Doss, Raimund Mureda, Luis Piazza , Vigil Prugger. 1958 to 2006
- Teater de Urtijëi - Ortisei home theater
He was a founding member or long-term employee of other associations:

The Radio Ladin Alex Moroder archive is a collection of over 500 tape reels with recordings of the radio programs "Dai Crepes dl Sella" about Val Gardena life and Ladin culture, which were broadcast by the Rai broadcaster Bolzano from 1955 . The programs were designed by Alex Moroder in collaboration with Bruno Moroder. This archive was digitized by Barbara Gabrielli and is managed by the Val Gardena Museum . The contents of the archive are displayed in the online catalog for documents in film and sound from South Tyrolean contemporary history .
