Alexander Beutter

Karl Wilhelm Alexander Beutter (born September 21, 1862 in Herrenalb ; † January 8, 1952 in Korntal ) was pastor and singing teacher from 1891 to 1926 and an honorary citizen of Rotenberg near Stuttgart from 1926 .

Live and act

Beutter was the son of the town school leader and member of the state parliament Erhard Beutter from Herrenalb. He attended the Eberhard-Ludwigs-Gymnasium in Stuttgart, the Protestant seminar in Schöntal and studied theology at the University of Tübingen .

From 1884 he worked as a vicar in Kornwestheim , Rohr a. F., Höpfigheim and Rotenberg , where he took up his duties as permanent pastor from 1891 to 1926. As an organ expert, he gave advice to many municipalities on the acquisition and expansion of organs . He also founded a church choir and a theater group and was the initiator of the new construction of the community center and the local savings and loan fund.

In 1926 he was retired; In the same year the local council of Rotenberg decided to make Pastor Beutter an honorary citizen .

Beutter was married to Maria Auguste Eugenie, b. Easter Day (1864-1943). There were four children from the marriage.

In 1931 the "Beutterstrasse" in Rotenberg was named after Alexander Beutter.
