Alexander Riemann (born April 12, 1992 in Mühldorf am Inn ) is a German soccer player . The striker is under contract with Wacker Burghausen and is a former young international player.

Career

Riemann was German U17 champions with VfB Stuttgart in the 2008/09 season . After 10 goals in 19 games in the U17 Bundesliga season south / southwest, Riemann also contributed in the semi-finals of the U17 championship finals in 2008/09 against Borussia Mönchengladbach with one goal each to the U17 championship title of VfB and flew in the second leg with a yellow-red card.

On April 30, 2010, on the 37th matchday of the 2009/10 season , Riemann made his professional debut for the second team of VfB Stuttgart in the 3rd professional league against SpVgg Unterhaching . On June 15, 2011, Riemann signed a licensed player contract with VfB dated until 2014.

For the 2012/13 season , Alexander Riemann moved on loan to SV Sandhausen , who had been promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga in the previous season . On August 5, 2012, Riemann played his first second division game on the 1st matchday in 2012/13 in a 1-1 draw against FSV Frankfurt . For the 2014/15 season he moved to SV Wehen Wiesbaden . For the 2015/16 season he moved to the Austrian second division club FC Wacker Innsbruck .

In January 2017 he switched to league competitor LASK . With LASK, he was promoted to the Bundesliga in 2017 .

In August 2018 he returned to Germany and moved to third division VfL Osnabrück , where he received a contract that ran until June 2020. Riemann only made three appearances in the 2018/19 season due to an injury after a meniscus operation, but he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga with VfL. At the beginning of January 2020, he terminated his contract with VfL amicably.

At the end of January 2020, the striker signed a contract valid until the end of the season with his training club Wacker Burghausen, who played in the Bavarian regional league .

National team

Riemann has already worked for several German youth national teams. After making his debut for the German U17 national team against Austria in November 2008 , Alexander Riemann missed the U17 European Championship in 2009 due to an injury and finished third with the German U18 national team in the Milk Cup in July 2009 . Riemann scored a goal himself in the game for third place. Alexander Riemann made his debut for the U19 national team of Germany on February 8, 2011 against England.
