Alexander Schaible
Alexander Schaible (born February 16, 1870 in Freiburg im Breisgau ; † October 4, 1933 in Ruvigliana near Lugano ) was a German civil servant. He had been in the Baden state service since 1898 .
Life
Alexander Schaible was the son of Colonel Camill Schaible (* May 27, 1837 in Renchen ; † May 15, 1906 in Freiburg im Breisgau) and Anna, born Ecker (* March 2, 1843 in Heidelberg ; † April 13, 1924 in Freiburg im Breisgau).
After studying law and the first and second state examinations , Schaible became legation secretary of the Baden embassy in Berlin from 1898 . On April 9, 1901, he was appointed bailiff at the Karlsruhe district office and from January 15, 1904 at the Heidelberg district office , where he was promoted to senior bailiff on August 1, 1906. On January 1, 1909, he became head of the police department at the Karlsruhe district office and then, from January 2, 1914, head of the district office of Donaueschingen (comparable to a current district administrator ) . From December 1914 until the beginning of 1919 he worked for the civil administration in Flanders as a result of the First World War . On December 4, he was employed as a senior clerk at the Karlsruhe district office and on September 28, 1926 as a district administrator at the Emmendingen district office . As early as December 16, 1926, he was in the same position at the Konstanz district office . Shortly afterwards, he was given leave of absence due to illness and was therefore given early retirement on July 1, 1928. Schaible was a member of the German People's Party (DVP) and from around 1920 to 1926 chairman of the association of senior administrative officials in Baden.
As a descendant he kept the estate of Johann Heinrich Voss . This also explains his pseudonym Camil [l] Alexander Voss .
