Alexander Toril
Alexander Toril Boquoi (born July 25, 1996 in Córdoba ) is a Spanish racing car driver . He used the name Alexander Boquoi at the beginning of his career . Since 2013 he has appeared as Alexander Toril .
Career
Toril started his motorsport career in karting in 2003 , where he remained active until 2010. In 2011 he switched to formula racing and competed in the French F4 championship. In 2012 Toril received a cockpit at Cedars in the European F3 Open . He switched to RP Motorsport during the season . With an eighth place as the best result, he reached 18th place overall. In 2013 Toril stayed with RP Motorsport in the European F3 Open. He finished third four times and improved to fifth in the drivers' standings, while his teammates Sandy Stuvik and Santiago Urrutia finished second and fourth, respectively.
In 2014 , Toril moved to the European Formula 3 Championship for Threebond with T-Sport , the only racing team to use Neil Brown Engineering (NBE) engines. Toril was once tenth and finished the season in 26th overall. With 3 to 1 points he was defeated by his teammate Spike Goddard . In addition, Toril competed for EmiliodeVillota Motorsport at a race weekend of the Euroformula Open, the renamed European F3 Open . He came in the top 10 in every race.
In 2015 Toril switched to GT racing. He finished 24th in the Porsche Supercup and 13th in the German Porsche Carrera Cup with a podium finish . In 2016, Toril was without a permanent commitment. He only competed in the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring , where he achieved a class win. A class win in the Dubai 24-hour race followed in early 2017 .
