Alexander Valerjewitsch Trifonow ( Russian Александр Валерьевич Трифонов ; born March  13, 1986 in Leninogorsk , Eastern Kazakhstan Oblast , Kazakh SSR , USSR ) is a Kazakh biathlete of Russian origin.

Alexander Trifonow starts for ESKU, Oskemen . He contested his first major junior race at the 2005 European Championships in Novosibirsk and was 25th in the sprint, 23rd in the pursuit and 24th in the individual. He also finished sixth with the season. Shortly thereafter, the Kazakh started at the Junior World Championships in Kontiolahti , where he finished 35th in the sprint, 36th in the pursuit, 71 in the individual and eleven with the relay. 2006 in Presque Isle the results 39 in the sprint, 36 in the pursuit and 49 in the individual were added. In Hochfilzen Trifonow made his debut in the biathlon world cup in 2006 and reached a 103rd place in the sprint in his first race and was also 18th with the relay of Kazakhstan. In 2007 he took part in the biathlon world championships for the first time in Antholz . in the individual he was 92nd, with Wiktorija Afanassjewa , Irina Moschewitina and Alexander Tscherwjakow he took 19th place in the mass start competition held for the first time as part of the World Cup. Since the 2007/08 season Trifonow started mostly in the Europe / IBU Cup . In his first sprint in Geilo , he was able to score points for the first time in 26th place. In 2009 in Ridnaun he was able to run for the only time in an individual as 19th among the top 20 in this racing series. After a two-year hiatus from the World Cup, the Kazakh was again increasingly used in the World Cup in 2009 , where he mostly comes to relay missions, as the Kazakh starting places are limited to only two. In Pokljuka he was able to achieve his best result so far in the highest racing series with a 69th place in an individual, which he was able to confirm at the individual at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver . He was also used in the games with Chervyakov, Jan Sawizki and Dias Keneschow and brought the season as the final runner to 18th place. With only one shooting error, he was the safest shooter in Kazakhstan.
