Alexandra Hirschi (born September 21, 1985 in Brisbane , Queensland ) is an Australian television presenter , vlogger and influencer . She is best known for her web videos on the subject of automobiles , which she regularly publishes on Facebook , Instagram and YouTube under the name Supercar Blondie . Her Facebook page has more than 6.8 million likes , more than 5.2 million people follow her on Instagram and her YouTube channel has 4.02 million subscribers (as of July 2020). According to an analysis by the socialbakers.com website, their Facebook page was one of the fastest growing auto-themed pages in 2018. Hirschi lives and works in Dubai .

Personal

Alexandra Hirschi was born in Brisbane , East Australia and grew up on a farm in the small town of Boonah in the Australian outback . She learned to drive at the age of 12, and her first own car after obtaining her driver's license was a Mitsubishi Lancer . She studied journalism and business administration at the Queensland University of Technology . After completing her studies, she moved to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates in 2008 because her husband Nik was offered a job there. She began working as an early morning news anchor for a local radio station, and later presented a talk show there where she reported live from auto events. Since 2017 she has been living off the income as an influencer. It has a BMW i8 , a Lamborghini Huracán , she Lucy calls and a McLaren 720 S .

Social media career

While working as a radio presenter, she was offered a Bentley for a few days in 2016 and uploaded videos and photos of it to her private social media account. After this material had attracted some attention, Hirschi, on the advice of her husband, created a new account on which she was to present her web videos and pictures in the future. Since Hirschi already had the nickname Radio Blondie on the radio , her husband suggested Supercar Blondie as the name of her account. Following the success with Bentley, Hirschi inquired about a collaboration with McLaren in 2017 and received a McLaren 650S for presentation. When she had 50,000 followers, she quit her moderation job; in the further course of 2017, the number of her followers on Instagram grew to 1 million and on Facebook to 3 million. In March 2018, the business magazine Arabian Business included Hirschi in its list of the 50 most influential women in the Arab world, and in 2019 the magazine named her among the 30 most influential women in the Arab world. The issue of Esquire magazine for the Middle East counted her among the influencers of 2018. On June 10, 2018, RTL II showed a special with Hirschi in the car magazine Grip , in which she presented a Bugatti L'Or Blanc and the La Ferrari Aperta .

In her web videos, Hirschi presents the rarest and most expensive super sports cars , but also prototypes and special models such as the Batmobile from the film Batman (1989). A cover story with Hirschi appeared in the August 2019 issue of Playboy magazine , and the first season of her TV show Car Crews With Supercar Blondie also started on the pay-TV channel Insight TV in August . Supercar Blondie FZ LLC, which is also the owner of the brand , was founded for marketing, advertising and selling fan merchandise .
