Alexandre Constantin
Alexandre "Alexis" Constantin (* July 16, 1909 ; † May 31, 1983 ) was a French racing car driver and designer.
Career as a driver
In connection with the racing driver Alexandre Constantin, a few appearances are known before and after the Second World War . In 1938 he was sixth at the Bol d'Or in Montlhéry . After the war he competed three times in the Le Mans 24-hour race . He finished 13th in the 1953 12-hour race in Reims .
Constantin Barquette
In the 1950s, Constantin developed simple aluminum spyder bodies, which he built on Peugeot 203 chassis. The engines used were 1.3-liter 4-cylinder in- line engines with superchargers . One of them was the Barquette from 1954. The car was used a number of times and is now fully restored in the Musée Automobile de Vendée .
