Alexei Mikhailovich Schtscheparjow ( Russian Алексей Михайлович Щепарёв or Щепарев , and Andrei Mikhailovich Schtscheparjow ; * the thirtieth March 1974 (22 April 1974 according to other sources) in Beloretsk , Bashkir ASSR ) is a former Russian Cross Country - Sommerbiathlet .

Alexei Shcheparev first took part in summer biathlon world championships in 2001 in Yambrozowa . With Alexei Kowjasin , Dmitri Nikiforow and Ivan Bogdanow he won the bronze medal in the relay race. In 2003 he won the silver medal in the relay race in Forni Avoltri on the side of Oleg Rudenko , Timur Nurmejew and Kowjasin. It was his only use at these championships. The following year he was able to repeat this success with Alexei Mironow , Nurmejew and Sergei Balandin in Osrblie . In the sprint he finished seventh, finished 12th in the pursuit and, in fourth place in the mass start race, missed an individual medal by just eight seconds against Alexei Mironov. The summer biathlon European championships in 2001 in Izhevsk and the 2004 in Clausthal-Zellerfeld were also successful with the sprint title . Shcheparev was European champion in the sprint, was relegated to the vice-European title by Mironov in the pursuit race and won the title with the Russian relay in the mixed relay competition with Oksana Neupokoyeva , Lyubov Yermolayeva and Mironov. Nationally he was Russian champion in 1994, in 2004 he won one silver and two bronze medals. After training at the Bashkorstostan State Pedagogical Institute in Ufa (1991–1995), he also began working as a trainer in 1998, and in 2006 he became "Honored Trainer of Russia". He trained the team of the Republic of Bashkortostan and became a youth coach at the highest level in Belorezk.
