The Algefa ( Al l g nera l F ilm a ufnahme- und Vertriebs-GmbH) was founded in Berlin in 1935 film production company . The founders were the actor Paul Hörbiger , the film director EW Emo and the Austrian consul Karl Künzel . The company, which existed under the direction of Friedrich Wilhelm Gaik until 1955, mainly produced films that were popular with the masses, i.e. mainly light entertainment productions.
