Alice is a song by the Canadian - French pop-rock singer Avril Lavigne . It was written by Lavigne for the 2010 edition of the film Alice in Wonderland , in the credits of which it can be heard. Alice was the first single from the soundtrack album Almost Alice .

Content and style of music

The song is sung from the perspective of Alice, the main character in the film. This is a dark, haunting rock ballad .

Music video

The music video was shot over two days, directed by Dave Meyers , on January 26th and 27th, 2010. The video premiered on February 17th, 2010.
