Alina Schaller (born May 16, 1997 in Vienna ) is an Austrian actress .

Life

Alina Schaller grew up in Purkersdorf in Lower Austria . She gained her first stage experience in 2005 at the Akzent Theater in children's musicals by the Rabauki Association . She made her film debut in 2013 in the film Talea by Katharina Mückstein . In the 2014/15 season she was a member of the Junge Burg of the Vienna Burgtheater , and since 2016 she has been a member of the theater association kollekTief.

In 2016 she played at the Wiener Schauspielhaus in Cellar Door under the direction of Thomas Bo Nilsson and in the musical Scrooge under the direction of Ferdinando Chefalo in the MuseumsQuartier . At the Bronski & Grünberg Theater in 2017 she was on stage in one to one and in Der Spieler , directed by Alexander Pschill and Kaja Dymnicki. As part of the award of the Nestroy Theater Prize 2017 she was for her portrayal of Shirley in the Austrian premiere of Hangmen (The Executioner) by Martin McDonagh at Volkstheater in the category Best young female and under the critics' survey of the journal Theater heute as best young actress nominated.

She had a leading role in the short film Voltage by Samira Ghahremani, shown at the Berlinale 2018 , and an episode role in the episode Old Indians of the TV series SOKO Donau . In 2018 she also stood in front of the camera for the fourth season of the ORF television series Vorstadtweiber , directed by Mirjam Unger and Harald Sicherheitsitz , in which she embodies the role of Alma. In November 2018 she premiered at the Schauspielhaus Wien as Josefine in Sleeping Men by Martin Crimp in a production by Tomas Schweigen . In August 2020 she will take part in the festival Hin & weg. Days for contemporary theater entertainment in the 14-day isolation experiment Please do not touch the drama group kollekTief, together with four other members of the group, including Felix Kammerer .
