Alleman is a city in Polk County in the US state of Iowa . At the time of the United States Census 2010 , the place that belongs to the Des Moines - West Des Moines Metropolitan Statistical Area had 432 inhabitants.

history

Alleman was named after one of the early settlers, John L. Alleman. The place was only on May 18, 1973 incorporated , and is the youngest city in Polk County.

Alleman's geographic coordinates are 41 ° 49 ′  N , 93 ° 37 ′  W (41.818968, −93.611051). The US Highway 69 runs north-south through the east of the city limits, but the closed construction is around one kilometer to the west at NE 142nd Avenue.

North Polk Community High School

There are two schools in Alleman, North Polk Jr./Sr. High School and the North Polk Central Elementary School. The North Polk Community School District is also located in Alleman. A new high school building was to replace the existing building in 2013.
