Alnarp is a district of Lomma in the municipality of the same name in the southern Swedish province of Skåne län and the historic province (landskap) Skåne . Alnarp is one of the headquarters of the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences ( Sveriges Lantbruksuniversitet, SLU).
Alnarp is located on the southern edge of the municipal capital Lomma, west of Åkarp and north of the Malmö district of Arlöv . The coast of the Øresund runs about one kilometer to the west. The Södra stambanan railway line from Malmö to Lund and European routes 6 and 20 pass close to the town .
In Alnarp there is an agricultural museum and a botanical garden open to the public . Alnarp Castle , built in 1862, is located in the garden .
Before 2015, Alnarp was reported by Statistiska centralbyrån as an independent Småort with last (2010) 107 inhabitants on an area of 41 hectares before it merged with Lomma.
