The Alpbach (before and now rarely Alpbacher Ache ) is a right tributary of the Inn in the Kitzbühel Alps in Tyrol .

The Alpbach arises from the confluence of the Lueger Bach (also Alpbacher Ache ) and Greiter Bach in Inneralpbach. The 8 km long Lueger Bach rises at the Steinbergalm below the Torkopf at 1756  m above sea level. A. ( ⊙ ). The Greiter Bach rises below the stand head at an altitude of 1867  m above sea level. A. ( ⊙ ) and has a length of 5.4 km. The Alpbach is 11.4 km long, with the Lueger Bach as the longest source brook, it is 19.4 km long and has an altitude difference of 1241 m.

After the two source streams have merged, the Alpbach flows in a north to north-westerly direction through the Alpbach valley below the village of Alpbach . Before entering the Inn Valley , it breaks through a wall made of Schwaz dolomite and several Triassic limestone and marl zones in a deep gorge. In Brixlegg it flows into the Inn from the right .

The most important tributaries are the Dorferbach near Alpbach, the Silberbergbach near Reith and the Zimmermoosbach near Mehrn, all of which flow in from the right.

The catchment area of the Alpbach is 81.5 km², the highest point in it is the Great Galtenberg at 2424  m above sea level. A.

While the Greiter Bach and the upper reaches of the Lueger Bach are in a natural or near-natural state, the Alpbach is built up over the entire course or remote from nature.
