Alpha is the first single from Kollegah 's fourth studio album King .

In May 2013, Kollegah announced his fourth solo album, King . The first single, Alpha, which also serves as the album's intro, was released on February 13, 2014 on the Selfmade Records YouTube channel and has been viewed over 22.5 million times since then (as of March 19, 2020). Markus and Michael Weicker directed the accompanying music video. The piece was produced by Hookbeats, Phil Fanatic, United Hustlers and Sadikbeatz.

In Alpha , Kollegah can review his previous career. He said to the song:

“I wrote the song down from the heart in one go. I rarely have such moments. But when they come, something big happens. As soon as I had just finished the lyrics, it was clear to me that it had to be a single - simply because it is one of the best things I've ever written. "

Cover design
