Lost Tapes is an EP by the German hip-hop musicians Kollegah and Rizbo . It was released on December 11, 2015 as a supplement to the limited deluxe box of the album Zumutertape Volume 4 via Selfmade Records . Lost Tapes contains unreleased recordings from 2005 to 2009.
background
After Kollegah had not recorded any songs together with hip-hop producer Rizbo for a few years, he contacted him again during the production phase of the Chronik 3 sampler . When looking through the old material, the musicians discovered unpublished songs, some of which only consist of individual stanzas. Instead of recording new contributions with Rizbo for the label sampler, Kollegah selected ten older pieces, which he sorted chronologically and combined into an EP. The song Edelmetalle was created in 2005 while recording the pimp tape (X-Mas Edition) . Professional killers and greenhouse plantations were recorded a year later for the mixtape Boss der Bosse . The piece Superior Psyche was originally intended to be part of Kollegah's first solo album Alphagene . With art collection robbery and brothel bed mattresses , two songs from the development phase of the album Kollegah are represented. Workers' ghetto district and gag reflex were originally supposed to appear on Young, Brutal, Good-Looking in 2009 . The songs Ahornblattflaggen and Mondsichellichterschein were created for pimp tape Volume 3 . On November 12th, the rapper announced the release of the EP as a supplement to pimp tape Volume 4 in an online video in his series Bosshaft on the go .
