Three friends meet on Manni's deathbed. Manni was a successful actor, has a villa with a pool and a Ferrari on the doorstep. They haven't seen each other for a long time, almost lost sight of each other, but they are still familiar.
Harry is a womanizer and tries to keep his wife and lover in line by SMS. He will lose both of them. Justus is a successful television producer who has to realize that he has become a money machine. Bernhard is a teacher who will eventually confess to his wife that he never loved her.
Manni wants his friends to find Rosi, the love he has lost, and ask her to visit him. Rosi hesitates at first, but then agrees to see Manni. Despite the serious situation, the friends spend relatively happy hours and days together, partly in the hospice with Manni, partly without him in his villa. You drive around the area in a Ferrari, listen to old records and relax in the pool, and yet over all the lightness there is always grief over unachieved goals, false hopes, over the wasted life and the imminent death of Manni, the all bundles these feelings. Manni dies on one last trip to the country and his friends stand around him and the silver Ferrari, perplexed.
