Alve Fryske stêden

The Frisian eleven cities ( Frisian : alve Fryske stêden ) are eleven places in the Dutch province of Fryslân (Friesland) with city ​​rights .

The order in the list corresponds to the route of the last Alvestêdetocht .

At the beginning of 2005 it was claimed that Berltsum (Berlikum) had urban registration plates in the 14th century . But it is not counted among the traditional Frisian eleven cities.
