Alwin Hartmann (born October 1, 1840 in Pulsnitz , † November 24, 1921 in Plauen ) was a German lawyer and member of the Reichstag.

Life

Hartmann attended the grammar school in Zittau , St. Afra in Meißen and the Augustum-Annen grammar school in Görlitz . After graduating from high school, he studied law at the University of Leipzig , where he became a member of the Corps Lusatia Leipzig in 1861 . From 1864 he was a trainee lawyer at the Löbau District Court and the Ebersbach / Sa. and Bernstadt ad Eigen . From 1869 he was assessor at the Bautzen District Court and the Dresden and Chemnitz public prosecutor's offices . In 1874 he became a public prosecutor in Annaberg and from 1878 in Plauen, where he became first public prosecutor at the regional court in 1879. In 1894 he was appointed president of the district court there, which he remained until 1910.

As a member of the German Conservative Party , he represented the constituency Kingdom of Saxony 23 (Plauen, Oelsnitz , Klingenthal ) in the Reichstag (German Empire) from 1881 to 1893 .
