Others

Amar Akbar Anthony was the beginning of a long collaboration between Manmohan Desais and Amitabh Bachchan .

Main actor Bachchan speaks here in a dialect known colloquially as Bombay Hindi - a dialect and body language that is usually associated with the city's ragged proletariat. The action scenes in the film seem more mechanical.

There is also a Bollywood film called My Name Is Anthony Gonzalves that was inspired by one of the songs. The main roles are played by Mithun Chakraborty , Amrita Rao and Nikhil Dwivedi .
