Mollens is a parish of the Deanery of Sierre and a civic community with a civic council of the district of Sierre and was a political municipality in the French-speaking part of the canton of Valais in Switzerland until December 31, 2016 . On January 1, 2017, Mollens merged with the municipalities of Chermignon , Montana and Randogne to form the new municipality of Crans-Montana .

At approx. 1450 m above sea level. M. is the settlement of Aminona (also called Aminona-sur-Sierre ), where the slopes of the Crans-Montana ski area also lead; Until the beginning of 2014, a cable car also led to the Petit Mont Bonvin ski region at around 2300 m above sea level. M., then it was torn down without replacement. In the north, the municipality extends into the Wildstrubel massif and the southeastern part of the Plaine-Morte glacier lies on the former municipality area.
