Amir M. Mokri
Amir M. Mokri ( Persian امیر مکری; * June 11, 1956 in Iran ) is an Iranian cameraman .
Life
The native Iranian Amir M. Mokri emigrated to the USA in 1977 and after graduating from Emerson College in Boston in 1981 he graduated from the American Film Institute in Los Angeles in 1982 . He then tried to work as a cameraman in the film industry, which he also succeeded with with a few short films, including All You Can Dream in 1986 . With his camera work on Slam Dance and Life Is Cheap… But Toilet Paper Is Expensive , he was each nominated for the best camera of the Independent Spirit Award . With Jerry Bruckheimer productions such as Coyote Ugly , Bad Boys II and The Legacy of the Secret Book , Mokri was finally able to assert himself as a cameraman in Hollywood.
Parallel to the film, Mokri also worked as a cameraman for countless commercials such as McDonald’s , FedEx , Snickers and Audi .
Amir Mokri is married to producer Winnie Fredriksz.
