Once Upon a Time in Venice is an American action - comedy film directed by Mark Cullen from the year 2017th

Former police officer Steve Ford owns a detective agency in Venice . In return for friendship, he steals a car from local drug lord Spyder, causing serious damage to Spyder's house.
Later, burglars steal valuables and his dog from Steve's sister and exchange everything for drugs at Spyder. To get his dog back, Steve has to pay for the property damage he caused to Spyder. When he shows up with the money, Spyder's friend Lupe ran away with the dog and a suitcase full of cocaine. Steve concludes a new deal with Spyder and is supposed to find the suitcase.
Steve tracks down Lupe in a motel. She cheated on Spyder with his "right hand" Oscar and has already sold a pack of cocaine to gangster Prince. Together with a friend, Steve assaults Prince and retrieves the missing package. There is a shooting when handing over to Spyder. When Spyder learns of Oscar's betrayal, he shoots him and gives Steve his dog back as agreed.

Filming began on June 29, 2015 in Venice under the working title Going Under .
Originally, Ralph Garman should also play a role. However, Willis refused to shoot the scene.
From June 9, 2017, the film was released in selected cinemas and as video-on-demand . It was released in Germany on December 4, 2017 on DVD and Blu-ray .

The lexicon of international film judges the comedy to be “tough” and “on the rusty self-irony of Bruce Willis”. The director was "uninspired" and got stuck in "half-baked Tarantino imitations".
