The Ammelbach, which runs entirely in the southern part of the Alzeyer Hügelland natural area , rises in the southern part of the Donnersbergkreis in the Göllheimer Hügelland . Its source is in the Göllheim community in the parcel In den Kirschgärten . Immediately north-northeast one at 257.4 m above sea level.
