The Verbandsgemeinde Göllheim is an administrative unit in the legal form of a regional authority in the Donnersbergkreis in Rhineland-Palatinate . The municipality includes 13 distinct local communities to which administrative headquarters are in the eponymous municipality Goellheim .

history
The Verbandsgemeinde Göllheim became part of the Rhineland-Palatinate functional and territorial reform started in the 1960s on the basis of the "Thirteenth State Law on Administrative Simplification in the State of Rhineland-Palatinate" of March 1, 1972, came into force on April 22, 1972, newly formed.
Previously, the administrative structures from the Palatinate (1816–1946) essentially applied in the then administrative district of the Palatinate .

Association municipal council
The Göllheim municipal council consists of 28 volunteer council members who were elected in a personalized proportional representation in the local elections on May 26, 2019 , and the full-time mayor as chairman.

mayor
The full-time mayor of the Göllheim community is Steffen Antweiler (FWG). In the runoff election on June 28, 2015, he was elected for the eight-year term with 55.6% of the votes, after none of the original four applicants had achieved a sufficient majority in the direct election on June 14, 2015. Antweiler is the successor to Klaus-Dieter Magsig, who did not run again.
