Ammonium sulfamate is an inorganic chemical compound : the ammonium salt of amidosulfonic acid .

use

Ammonium sulfamate - like ammonium sulfate and ammonium dihydrogen phosphate - is used as a flame retardant for textiles and paper.

It is also used as a plasticizer for paper, as a non-selective herbicide, especially against woody plants and annual and perennial weeds in the forest, for sulfonamide detection in the blood and for cleaning animal hides before the tanning process .
