Amphoe Kaset Sombun ( Thai : อำเภอ เกษตรสมบูรณ์ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the province of Chaiyaphum . The province of Chaiyaphum is located in the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .

geography

The neighboring districts start clockwise from the north: the Amphoe Khon San , Phu Khiao , Kaeng Khro , Mueang Chaiyaphum and Nong Bua Daeng . All Amphoe are within the Chaiyaphum Province.

In the north of the district lies the Phu Khiao Game Reserve (Phu Khiao Wildlife Reserve) . The National Park Phu Laenkha is located in the south of the district.

history

The area of ​​today's Kaset Sombun was originally a "branch circle" ( King Amphoe ) of Amphoe Phu Khiao. In 1917 it was renamed from “Kaset Sombun” to “Ban Yang”, the name of the central tambon . On March 1, 1939, the "branch circle" was upgraded to an amphoe and at the same time renamed again to the historical name Kaset Sombun.
