Amphoe Phakdi Chumphon ( Thai : อำเภอ ภักดี ชุมพล ) is the westernmost district ( Amphoe - administrative district) of the province Chaiyaphum , which is in the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .

geography

The county administration is located about 70 kilometers west of the provincial capital Chaiyaphum .

Neighboring districts (clockwise from north): the Amphoe Nong Bua Daeng , Nong Bua Rawe and Thep Sathit of the province of Chaiyaphum and the Amphoe Wichian Buri , Bueng Sam Phan and Nong Phai in the province of Phetchabun .

history

On August 1, 1988, Phakdi Chumphon was initially set up as a "branch circle" ( King Amphoe ) by separating the Tambon Ban Chiang, Wang Thong and Chao Thaong of the Nong Bua Daeng district . On September 7, 1995, Phakdi Chumphon got full amphoe status.
