Amphoe Kaeng Khro ( Thai : อำเภอ แก้ง ค ร้ อ ) is a district ( amphoe - administrative district) in the east of Chaiyaphum Province . The province of Chaiyaphum is located in the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .
geography
The neighboring districts start clockwise from the north: the Amphoe Phu Khiao and Ban Thaen in the province of Chaiyaphum, the Amphoe Mancha Khiri and Khok Pho Chai in the province of Khon Kaen and the Amphoe Khon Sawan , Mueang Chaiyaphum and Kaset Sombun in Chaiyaphum.
history
The area of today's Kaeng Khro originally belonged to the Phu Khiao district . On August 13, 1959, Kaeng Khro itself was promoted to Amphoe.

Local administration
There are three municipalities with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:
- Nong Sang (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล หนอง สังข์ ) consists of the entire Tambon Nong Sang.
- Na Nong Thum (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล นา หนอง ทุ่ม ) consists of parts of the Tambon Na Nong Thum.
- Kaeng Khro (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล แก้ง ค ร้ อ ) consists of parts of the Tambon Chong Sam Mo and Nong Phai.
There are also nine " Tambon Administrative Organizations " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organizations, TAO):
