Khon Sawan District ( Thai : อำเภอ คอนสวรรค์ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) of Chaiyaphum province . The province of Chaiyaphum is located in the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .

geography

The neighboring districts start clockwise from the north: the Amphoe Khok Pho Chai , Waeng Yai and Waeng Noi in the province of Khon Kaen , Amphoe Kaeng Sanam Nang in the province of Nakhon Ratchasima and Amphoe Mueang Chaiyaphum and Amphoe Kaeng Khro in the province of Chaiyaphum.

history

Khon Sawan is an old city, it was formerly called Mueang Ka Long. It was founded at the same time as Mueang Korat by Phraya Khun Han, a cousin of the governor of Korat.

  • Khon Sawan (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล คอนสวรรค์ ) consists of parts of the Tambon Khon Sawan and parts of the Tambon Khok Mang Ngoi.
