Amphoe Wang Muang ( Thai : อำเภอ วัง ม่วง ) is a district ( amphoe - administrative district) in the northern part of Saraburi Province . Saraburi is located in the central region of Thailand .

Neighboring districts (clockwise from north): Amphoe Phatthana Nikhom of Lop Buri Province and Amphoe Muak Lek and Kaeng Khoi of Saraburi Province.

history

Amphoe Wang Muang was initially set up as a "branch circle " ( King Amphoe ) on April 1, 1990 , in which three tambon were separated from Amphoe Muak Lek . On September 7, 1995, Wang Muang was granted full Amphoe status.

Wang Muang County is divided into three tambon ("subdistricts" or "parishes"), which are further subdivided into 31 muban ("villages").

Local administration

There are three municipalities with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:

  • Salaeng Phan (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล แสลง พัน ) consisting of the complete Tambon Salaeng Phan.
  • Wang Muang (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล วัง ม่วง ) consisting of the parts of the Tambon Kham Phran, Wang Muang.
  • Kham Phran (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล คำ พราน ) consisting of parts of the Tambon Kham Phran.

There is also a " tambon administration organizations " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organizations, TAO)

  • Wang Muang (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล วัง ม่วง ) consisting of parts of the tambon Wang Muang.
