Amphoe Nong Saeng ( Thai : อำเภอ หนองแซง ) is a district ( amphoe - administrative district) in the province of Saraburi . The Saraburi Province is located in the central region of Thailand .

Neighboring districts (clockwise from the north): Amphoe Sao Hai , Amphoe Mueang Saraburi and Amphoe Nong Khae of the province of Saraburi and Amphoe Phachi and Amphoe Tha Ruea of the province of Ayutthaya .

history

Nong Saeng was originally a "branch circle" ( King Amphoe ) of the Sao Hai district . However, it got full amphoe status in 1953.

Many residents of Nong Saeng immigrated from Vientiane . They established their new settlement near a swamp area ( หนอง - Nong ) where many saeng trees grew. Therefore they called their village "Ban Nong Saeng".

There is one municipality with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:

• Nong Saeng (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล หนองแซง ) consisting of the complete Tambon Nong Saeng and the parts of the Tambon Nong Khwai So, Kai Sao.

There are also five " tambon administration organizations " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organizations, TAO)

• Nong Hua Pho (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล หนอง หัว โพ ) consisting of the complete tambon Nong Hua Pho, Nong Sida.
• Nong Kop (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล หนอง กบ ) consisting of the complete Tambon Nong Kop and parts of the Tambon Nong Khwai So.
• Kai Sao (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ไก่ เส่า ) consisting of parts of the Tambon Kai Sao.
• Khok Sa-at (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล โคก สะอาด ) consisting of the complete tambon Khok Sa-at.
• Muang Wan (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ม่วง หวาน ) consisting of the complete tambon Muang Wan, Khao Din.
